THE DELUXE 36-PAGE HARDBACK BOOK CONTAINS A FASCINATING INSIGHT IN TO THE EARLY WORLD OF PINK FLOYD. Pink Floyd’s London 1966/1967 was originally recorded for Peter Whitehead as part of his legendary 1967 “Tonite Lets All Make Love In London” film - semi-documentary about the “swinging London” scene of the sixties. The film featured rare performance footage from the 60s line-up at Sound Techniques London & material from the legendary ‘14 Hour Technicolour Dream’ extravaganza in April ‘67 at Alexandra Palace & the UFO Club. Includes performance art by Yoko Ono and a Sgt. Pepperera John Lennon taking in the festivities on the DVD footage, which captures the London scene in the mid-sixties, as well as interviews with key figures in art, music and film: Mick Jagger, Michael Caine, David Hockney & Julie Christie, and an overview with director Peter Whitehead. This deluxe 36-page hardback book features two rare performances, from classic Floyd era featuring Syd Barrett, when they were at their most adventurous and exploratory, including an explosive 17 minute version of ‘Interstellar Overdrive’, recorded at the legendary Sound Techniques studio in early 1967 on 10” vinyl, DVD and CD. These first ever studio recordings from the classic 1960s Pink Floyd line-up are presented in their most luxurious packaging yet; including 36-pages of additional artwork and notes, the audio on exclusive 10” neon orange vinyl, CD and DVD, and bonus DVD material.
